BishopGraveside services for Bill Bishop, age 79, of Early, Texas will be held 9:00 A.M. Saturday, August 13, 2011 at Eastlawn Memorial Park with Ted Kell officiating.  The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday at the Heartland Funeral Home.  He passed away Thursday, August 11, 2011 at his home.

Bill Carled Bishop was born on December 13, 1931 in Brownwood, Texas to Humphrey J. (Red) Bishop and Edna Rasco Bishop.  He was raised in Brownwood and attended Abilene Christian College for a short time.  On October 16, 1950 he married Nell Langford in Brownwood.   A lifetime reside of this area, he retired as a locomotive engineer from BSNF Railroad in 1997.  He was a member of the Austin Avenue Church of Christ, the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and loved the outdoors and fishing.

Survivors:

Wife:                     Nell Bishop of Early, Texas

Sons:                     Billy J. Bishop and wife Sandra of Brownwood

Brian L. Bishop of Silver Springs, Maryland

Grandchildren:

Mace Royston and wife Amanda, Fayenell Royston, Beau Bishop,

Bly Bishop, Jennifer Stephens and husband Blake.

Great Grandchildren:

Brady Hays, Joe Tatum, Bailey Bishop, Zochi Royston, Brook Stephens, Hunter Stephens and Olivia Royston.

Preceded in death by her parents, one brother and one sister.
