stephen_haynes_2011Texas Government Insider recently featured Brownwood Mayor Stephen Haynes in their July 29, 2011 edition saluting “Texas Lone Stars”.

Haynes identifies what is important to him in his position, both future growth of our city and making a difference in the lives of others.

Haynes mentioned what he understands to be what people are looking for when moving to a new community.

“People are not necessarily looking for a great city. They are looking for a great community. They are looking for a place to fit in and call home. They are looking for a place to belong and to be valued.”

Haynes sums up what makes Brownwood unique.

“Brownwood has great industry, high-paying jobs and a five-minute commute. We have all of the benefits of a much larger city with the personality and feel of a small town. Our central location is ideal and makes day travel possible to almost any part of our state,” said Haynes.
