The American Legion Post 196 recently hosted an appreciation luncheon honoring the employees of KOXE/KBWD and Brownwood News in recognition of the tremendous support the organization provides to the Post and the community.

“Post 196 wants to recognize that the support of the radio station and news organization increases our ability to serve the veterans and youth of Brown County, as well as the community at-large. KOXE is a cornerstone of our community and exemplifies the ‘Feels Like Home’ vision of Brownwood,” said John Miller, Adjutant Finance Officer for American Legion Post 196.

Karla Dillard of KOXE and Brownwood News expressed appreciation for the recognition and emphasized the organization’s commitment to local veterans.

“We are honored by this recognition from American Legion Post 196. Supporting our local veterans is something that means so much to all of us at KOXE and Brownwood News. We deeply appreciate the sacrifices our veterans have made for our country, and we are proud to support the organizations that continue serving them and our community every day,” said Dillard.

The luncheon highlighted the strong partnership between American Legion Post 196 and KOXE/Brownwood News, with both organizations sharing a commitment to serving Brown County and supporting the people who make the community strong.
