Brown County Sheriff’s Report: May 2

The following information was provided by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office:

  • On 04/27/26, at approximately 0816 hours, Deputy Ethan Fox was dispatched to the intersection of Cr 180 and Cr 197 regarding an Illegal Dumping. Deputy Fox arrived on scene and observed a broken recliner along with some household items lying on the side of Cr 197. Deputy Fox notified the Precinct 2 road crew, who later picked up the items. Deputy Fox took photographs, and a report was made.
  • On 04/27/26, at approximately 1016 hours, Deputy Ethan Fox was dispatched to complaint of disorderly conduct at N US 183, Lot 15, Early, Tx 76802. Deputy Fox made contact with STEPHENS, LORI, who was found to be in possession of narcotics. The contraband was seized and placed in evidence. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
  • On 04/27/26, at approximately 1402 hours, Deputy Ethan Fox was dispatched to W US 67 regarding a Theft. Deputy Fox spoke with Barbara Bush, who stated someone stole the license plates from her vehicle. Deputy Fox entered the license plate information as stolen, and a report was made.
  • On 04/27/2026, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to Fm 2273, May, TX 76857, regarding an Illegal Dumping on a neighbor’s property. Deputy Geis spoke to an Adelita Alonzo, who said her neighbors were dumping camper parts and other miscellaneous trash in a large hole behind her property. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
  • On April 27, 2026, at 2326 hours, Deputy Hayden Donahoo was dispatched to W Commerce in Brownwood, Tx 76801 for an Assault, which occurred in the jail. Information and pictures were gathered. A report was made.
  • On Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at approximately 1646 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Steven Trevino was dispatched to West Commerce Street regarding an Assault, which took place between two inmates in the Brown County Jail. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
  • On April 28, 2026, at 1718 hours, Deputy Hayden Donahoo was dispatched to an Animal at Large call at CR 281 in Zephyr, Tx 76890. Information and pictures were gathered on scene. A report was made
  • On 04/29/2026, at approximately 0958 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Madeline Reigle was contacted by dispatch regarding Criminal Mischief. The victim stated they were the owner of pump jacks and oil tanks, located on a property on County Road 121. The property had recently been purchased by new owners. While checking on their tanks and pump jack, the owner found his tanks had been damaged beyond repair. Heavy equipment tracks were present, and it appeared crude oil from the tanks had been dumped into a dug hole in the ground. Photographs were taken, and a report was made for further investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.
  • On 04/30/2026, at approximately 1002 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Madeline Reigle was contacted by dispatch regarding squatters or trespassers at Bally Shannon Drive, Brownwood, Texas. The caller stated the last tenant allowed to reside there had been evicted in March of 2026, and no other people had permission to be there. Deputies responded and it appeared unknown persons had been or are currently residing at that address. A report was made for further investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
  • On Thursday, April 30, 2026, at approximately 1330 hours, Sergeant Francisco Valencia with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office apprehended a male subject with active warrants for his arrest. The male subject fled on foot in an attempt to elude deputies. Sergeant Valencia located the wanted male subject and placed him into custody for Evading Arrest or Detention. A report was made.
  • On Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 1430 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff TJ Harrell, along with Brown County Patrol Sergeant Francisco Valencia, were dispatched to County Road 608, Brown County, Texas, 76801, for a Dog Bite. A large black pitbull mix breed, which resides at County Road 608, Brown County, Texas 76801, came onto County Road 608 and attacked David Thomas and bit him on the lower left leg above the ankle. The owner of the dog is EVE ONEIL OCONNOR. Information was gathered, and a report was generated.
  • On 4/30/26, at approximately 1856 hours, Deputy Hopson made contact with JOHNNY STOREY (W/M, 6/26/68) at FM 3100 CR 339. STOREY was subsequently placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated and Unlawful Carrying Weapon. He was transported to the Brown County Jail and released to jail staff.
