CLYDE – The Bangs Dragons were eliminated from the postseason Thursday afternoon with a 17-0 loss to No. 14 Hawley in Game 2 of a Class 2A Division I Region I baseball bi-district playoff series.

The Dragons (9-14-1) also dropped Game 1 on Wednesday by a 10-0 count to Hawley (19-8-1).

Bangs was limited to one hit by Heath Laughlin, while Hawley scored seven runs each in the second and third innings, two runs in the opening frame, and one in the fourth.

Dragon pitchers Jaxon Duncan, Connor Bible and Kason Klutts yielded a combined seven earned runs on 1 0 hits with six walks and no strikeouts. The Bangs defense was credited with 10 errors in the contest.
