Vicki Lenise Day, 68, of Brownwood, Texas, passed away on April 26, 2026. Family will host a visitation from 2-4 pm, Sunday, May 3rd at Heartland Funeral Home in Early, Texas. Graveside services will be held Monday, May 4th at 10 am, at Jenkin Springs Cemetery in Early, Texas with interment to follow under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.
Vicki was born on August 1, 1958, in Brownwood, Texas to Robert and Disa Chrane. She attended school at Brownwood, ISD. In March of 1997, Vicki married Billy Ray Day.
Vicki started her working career early in life at Mr. Burger on Highway 377. She continued working in the fast- food industry in supervisory positions. After working in this industry, she worked for Brownwood Regional Hospital/ Hendrick Medical Center. Vicki worked in the ER as a registration clerk for sixteen and a half years. She trained many people to excel in this area. She worked together with the community and nursing staff to keep business flowing professionally. Vicki had a strong work ethic. She always arrived early as she hated being late.
Vicki loved her family immensely, including her grandchildren. She loved traveling around Texas to watch them perform at various events. She had a love for cats, and each one had a special name. They meant the world to her. She loved to take vacations with her family and enjoy time away.
Vicki is survived by her husband, Billy Ray Day of Brownwood; stepson, Billy J. Day of Fort Worth; step-daughter, Betheny of Brownwood; brother-in-law, Curtis Day (Debbie) of Brownwood; sister-in-law Martha Day of Santa Anna; mother. Disa Chrane Carruth of Blanket; daughter, Jennifer Dawn Fulton Yeats of Blanket; son, Dustin Lyn Fulton of Blanket; sister, Wanda Naef of Early; 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
Vicki was preceded in death by her father, Robert Kenneth Chrane; step-father, JR Carruth; half-sister, Brenda Chrane; half-brother, Gary Chrane; grandson, Cooper Lyn Yeats; grandparents; uncles; aunts; and cousins.
