On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, TxDOT’s contractor will begin a resurfacing project on US 377 South, in Brownwood. The project limits will be from the intersection of 18th Street/Avenue C to 0.4 miles north of the Morris Sheppard Dr. intersection with US 377.

Alternating lane closures will occur for a few weeks; however, minimal to no delays are expected as all work will be conducted nightly, between the hours of 6:30 PM and 6 AM.

The contractor will maintain access to Crockett Dr. throughout the duration of the project to minimize impacts of travel to and from Hendrick Medical Center. Construction is expected to be completed by early June, weather permitting.

Motorists are encouraged to drive with care when traveling in or near the work zone. Drivers should obey all warning signs, avoid distractions, and watch for crews and equipment entering and exiting the area
