Alton Mack Inglet, Sr., 84, of Rising Star, Texas, passed away on April 12, 2026. Family will host a visitation at 9:00 am, Friday, April 17, at Heartland Funeral Home in Early. Services for Mack will be held at 10:00 am following the visitation in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park in Early.
Mack (Papa) was born on July 9, 1941 in May, Texas to Zeb and Lola Inglet and raised in Rising Star. He attended school in Rising Star, Texas and went on to marry Ann Adams Inglet on March 18, 1988. Together they began a life that blessed them to be able to share 4 children.
Mack retired from 3M in 1999 and worked as a lineman for a few years. He was a lover of fishing, hunting, westerns, arrowheads, going to auctions, and shopping at garage sales. He enjoyed giving his grandkids jalapeno carrots and he was so proud when Ashley shot her first deer at just 10 years old. He truly loved teaching his grandsons his ways.
Mack is survived by his wife, Ann Adams Inglet of Brownwood; ex-wife, Betty Hall Inglet; daughter, Kim Inglet Barnett of Brownwood; son, Mack Inglet Jr. of Brownwood; daughter, DeeDee Inglet of Brownwood; son, Dennis Daniel and wife Sheena of Brownwood; brother, Donald “Bo” Inglet of Brownwood; grandchildren, Scott, Jason, Ashley, Zack, Nikki, Trey, Michael, Jaiden, and Shea’lynn; 8 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Mack was preceded in death by his parents, Zeb and Lola Inglet; 10 sisters; and 2 brothers.
