No. 14 Early Lady Horns 3, Eastland 0
EASTLAND – The No. 14 Early Lady Horns wrapped up the District 8-3A softball championship with a 3-0 road victory over Eastland Friday.
The Lady Horns (23-4, 12-0) extended their win streak to 15 games as Sunny Groom hurled a four-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts and only one walk.
Early scored all four of its runs in the top of the fifth inning on a two-run home run by Andie Simpson, and an RBI single from Sydney Greaves.
The Lady Horns tallied eight hits – two each from Simpson, Greaves and Paizlee Scott, and one apiece by Adysn Atchley and Jamie Lyon.
Early will next visit Tolar at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

No. 8 May Tigers 13, Gorman 0
MAY – The eighth-ranked May Tigers notched their seventh win in a row, defeating Gorman by a 13-0 count Friday for the second time this week.
Lane Goodson tossed a five-inning no-hitter with 10 strikeouts and two walks, while the Tigers (8-1) scored four runs in the first inning, three in the second, and added six in the third.
May collected 16 hits – three by Kaden Watkins; two apiece by Goodson, Cayson Dail, Brody Stice, Jackson Lusk, and Hunter Seider; and one each by Kobey Morris, Maddix Raffel, and Kayden Psencik. Goodson, Lusk, Seider and Psencik led the way with two RBIs apiece.
The Tigers next travel to Eula for a 6:30 p.m. game Tuesday.

Bangs Dragons 13, Ballinger 2
BALLINGER – The Bangs Dragons earned their fourth consecutive District 7-2A baseball victory Friday, sweeping a league series from Ballinger, 13-2.
Bangs (8-10-1, 5-3) jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the top of the first inning and tacked single runs in the second and third, while churning out five runs in the fourth. The Dragons yielded only single runs in the bottom of the third and fourth frames.
The Dragons were aided by seven Ballinger errors, drew six walks and recorded eight hits – three by Jaxon Duncan, who also tallied three RBIs; two by Connor Bible; and one apiece by Rex Guerrero, Jonathan Edmisten and Trapper Estess, who each collected an RBI. Jackson Edmisten and Quentin Doll were also credited with RBIs.
On the mound, Kason Klutts, Duncan and Bible teamed up to yield two unearned runs on four hits with nine strikeouts and five walks between them. The Bangs defense committed six errors behind them.
The Dragons are off until Tuesday, April 21 when they visit Cisco at 5 p.m.

Coleman Bluecats 10, De Leon 0
COLEMAN – The Coleman Bluecats locked up the District 7-2A baseball title with a 10-0 home victory over De Leon Friday.
Coleman (14-4, 8-0) scored seven runs in the second inning, one in the fourth, and two more runs in the fifth inning.
The Bluecats tallied seven hits – three by Hunter Edington, who drove in two; one hit and two RBIs apiece from Paul Salas and Darren Hurtado; and one hit apiece from Braylon Stewart and Townes Fullbright.
Edington also tossed a two-hit shutout over five innings with three strikeouts and four walks.
