
No. 14 Early Lady Horns 7, Breckenridge 0
BRECKENRIDGE – The playoff-bound and 14th-ranked Early Lady Horns remained undefeated in District 8-3A softball action and extended their win streak to 14 games with a 7-0 road victory over Breckenridge Tuesday.
The Lady Horns (22-4, 11-0) broke a scoreless tie in a run in the top of the fourth inning, tacked on four more runs in the fifth and added their final run in the sixth inning.
In the circle, Sunny Groom and Adysn Atchley combined on a two-hit shutout with 15 strikeouts – 14 by Groom in six innings – and four walks between them.
The offense tallied a dozen hits – three and a pair of RBIs from Avery Stifflemire; two, including a home run, with two RBIs from Andie Simpson; two hits each from Groom and Jamie Vassar; and one hit apiece from Aleeya McCombs, Sydney Greaves, and Rylee Tupin.
Early will visit Eastland at 5 p.m. Friday.

Bangs Dragons 13, Ballinger 3
BANGS – The Bangs Dragons moved over the .500 mark in District 7-2A baseball action with a 13-3 home victory over Ballinger Tuesday.
The Dragons (7-10-1, 4-3) jumped out to an 8-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning. After Ballinger closed the gap to 8-3 in the top of the third, Bangs answered with three in the bottom of the fourth inning and two more runs in the fifth inning.
Bangs drew five walks, were aided by four Ballinger errors, and tallied seven hits. Rex Guerrero led the way with three hits and a pair of RBIs, two hits by Jaxon Duncan, and one apiece by Conner Bible and Jackson Edmisten, who drove in a run.
On the mound, Trapper Estess went the distance and allowed three unearned runs on five hits with two strikeouts and one walk. The Dragon defense committed two errors.
Bangs will head to Ballinger at 6 p.m. Friday

No. 8 May Tigers 13, Gorman 0
GORMAN – The May Tigers earned their sixth consecutive victory Monday with a 13-0 road triumph over Gorman.
The Tigers jumped out to a 5-0 lead in the top of the first inning and tacked on two runs each in the second, third, fourth and fifth innings.
Aided by six Gorman errors and four walks, May also collected 13 hits, led by four from Lane Goodson, who doubled twice and drove in two runs. Kobey Morris added a pair of hits and three RBIs, Maddix Raffel finished with two hits and one RBI, and Jackson Lusk also notched a pair of hits. Brody Stice finished with one hit and two RBIs, while Cayson Dail and Hunter Seider both tallied a hit with an RBI.
On the mound, Seider and Morris combined to toss a four-hitter with six strikeouts and four walks. The May defense committed just one error. w
The Tigers (7-1) are back in action at 4:30 p.m. Friday when they host Gorman.
