12-year sentence for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon among five handed down in district court

The office of District Attorney Micheal Murray issued the following press release regarding felony cases heard in 35th District Court by Judge Mike Smith.

  • Kensley Nicole Gardner, on probation for the felony offense of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon was adjudicated and sentenced to 12 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division pursuant to a plea agreement.
  • Tabitha Esther Hernandez, pled guilty to the felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated and was sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Hernandez, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Driving While Intoxicated with Child Passenger was revoked and sentenced to 1 year, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division, pursuant to a plea agreement.
  • Ryan Shawn Griffin, pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division pursuant to a plea agreement.
  • Chad Allen Wittke, pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division, pursuant to a plea agreement.
  • Gabriel Anthony Recek, on probation for the felony offense of Evading Arrest was revoked and sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division pursuant to a plea agreement.
