Welcome back to the Pfluger Fly-By, a weekly roundup of the work I am doing to represent you and our communities in Congress.
After a few busy weeks in Washington, I was thrilled to be back in Texas-11 this week. I delivered remarks at the Mason Lions Club, presented Llano Junior High School teacher Mrs. Nicole Ritchie with the 2025 Julius Glickman Educational Leadership Award, hosted a community town hall in Eden, participated in a roundtable with the Llano Chamber of Commerce, and more.
My office is also continuing to accept applications for the 2026 Congressional Art Competition, which is an incredible opportunity for students to have their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol.
Below, you’ll find highlights from the week, including pictures, in-depth updates, and information on how my office can help you with any federal concerns. As always, my team and I are here to serve you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need assistance.
Best,
Message on Good Friday
“‘He himself bore our sins’ in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; ‘by his wounds you have been healed.'” – 1 Peter 2:24
On this solemn day, we reflect on the sacrifice our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, made on the cross for our salvation. Good Friday invites us to reflect on the depth of God’s love for us, and praise Him for this undeserved gift of grace.
As we step into Easter Weekend and Resurrection Sunday, I pray everyone has a joyous and safe weekend spent with family and loved ones. I encourage you to reflect on the blessings we have received through God and His never-ending love for us. Rest in knowing He is in control of our lives, and hold on to the hope of Jesus in these uncertain times.
Wishing you and your family a blessed Good Friday and a Happy Easter! He is Risen!
Mason Lions Club Meeting
To kick off my week traveling across Texas-11, I stopped by the Mason Lions Club for their monthly meeting. It’s always a privilege to hear directly from Texans and connect with the hardworking men and women who make our community the best place to live, work, and raise a family.
Organizations like the Lions Club are the backbone of communities in Texas-11 as they always show up, serve their neighbors, and make a difference every single day. I greatly appreciate all of the work and service of the Mason Lions Club, and thank them for having me this week.
Celebrating Llano Junior High Teacher Mrs. Nicole Ritchie
I was honored to celebrate Llano Junior High School teacher Mrs. Nicole Ritchie by presenting her with the 2025 Julius Glickman Educational Leadership Award from Humanities Texas. Out of more than 900 nominees, Mrs. Ritchie was named one of just fifteen recipients for this prestigious award.
In addition, I also enjoyed delivering remarks to students and staff during the award ceremony. I am extremely grateful to have been included in the celebration and thank Mrs. Ritchie for her dedication to students in Llano. Congratulations again, Mrs. Ritchie!
Eden Town Hall
Hosting town halls across Texas-11 will always be a top priority of mine. That’s why I enjoyed gathering in Eden this week to host my 111th community town hall to give an update on my work in Washington and answer your questions. I was also excited to highlight good news for the community as I recently secured $4 million to replace the City of Eden’s Wastewater Plant.
I was also honored to recognize the incredible partnership of Eden CISD, Concho County Hospital, and Howard College Big Spring in launching an innovative Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program for students at Eden CISD. This program will equip graduates with immediate employment opportunities in their community and help bridge the gap in rural health care staffing. I am confident this program will thrive, and I look forward to seeing the positive impact it has on the community.
Llano Chamber of Commerce Roundtable
Thank you to the Llano Chamber of Commerce for inviting me to a roundtable to hear directly from local business leaders. The Republican-passed Working Families Tax Cuts delivered huge wins for entrepreneurs in Texas-11 by making the 199A small business deduction permanent at 20%, broadening tax breaks for research and equipment purchases, and encouraging the kind of Made-in-America investment that creates thousands of jobs across Texas.
Small businesses are the heart of our communities in Texas-11, and fighting for them will always be one of my top priorities in Washington. I’ll continue advocating for policies that reduce tax burden, expand access to capital, and keep government out of the way so Texas entrepreneurs can grow their businesses.
KOXE Morning Show with Jeff Duncan
I joined the KOXE Morning Show with Jeff Duncan to discuss the ongoing Department of Homeland Security shutdown, the Save America Act, my experience flying combat missions in the F-15C and F-22, and much more.

Deadline Approaching Soon: 2026 Congressional Art Competition
Attention all parents, students, and teachers in TX-11! My office is now accepting submissions for the 2026 Congressional Art Competition. This competition gives high school students from across Texas-11 the opportunity to have their artwork displayed in the U.S. Capitol Building.

Every year, I am completely blown away by the talent and creativity of so many incredible young artists throughout Texas-11 who participate in the Congressional Art Competition. This year’s theme gives students the opportunity to tell America’s story through their own creative lens. I am especially excited to see how students use their art to celebrate our nation’s history and express their patriotism. I am incredibly blessed to represent the 11th District and to support these remarkable young artists as they help commemorate this historic moment for our country.
