NOTICE OF PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION
PUBLIC HEARING
In accordance with Texas Local Government Code §211.007, and Section 98-84 of the City’s Code of Ordinances, a public hearing will be held by the City of Brownwood Planning and Zoning Commission on Thursday, May 7th, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers at 501 Center Avenue, Brownwood, Texas, for the purpose of receiving comments on the following requests:

Request to change the zoning classification of 2305 Coggin Ave, being lot 6, 7, & 8 on block 2 of Southmore Terrace Addition, also known as Property ID 56469, from R1 – Single Family Residential District to C1 – Local Business District for the purpose of rental for a commercial dog grooming business.
It is requested that you make your views known, either in person, by writing, or by a duly authorized representative to aid the Planning and Zoning Commission in determining the proper action on this request. Following the public hearing the Commission may recommend the proposed request to the City Council.
