
Early Lady Horns 17, Millsap 1
MILLSAP – The Early Lady Horns started the second half of District 8-3A softball action with a 17-1 victory at Millsap Friday, remaining undefeated in league play and running their win streak to 11 games.
The Lady Horns (19-4, 8-0) struck for five runs each in the first and second innings, then tacked on their final seven runs in the fourth.
Aided by nine Millsap errors, the Lady Horns also recorded 12 hits – three with four RBIs by Sunny Groom, three with three RBIs by Jamie Lyon, two with an RBI by Harper Thornberry, one with a pair of RBIs by Racy Pruett, one with one RBI by Jaime Vassar, and Aleeya McCombs and Sydney Greaves both drove in two runs without the benefit of a hit.
In the circle, Adysn Atchley tossed a two-hitter, allowing one unearned run with nine strikeouts and four walks, while the Early defense committed one error behind her.
The Lady Horns next visit Peaster at 5 p.m. Tuesday

Early Longhorns 6, Eastland 3
EASTLAND – The Early Longhorns snapped a three-game skid and evened their District 8-3A baseball record by doubling up the Eastland Mavericks, 6-3, Friday night.
The Longhorns (8-11, 3-3) pushed three runs across the plate in the top of the first inning, and three more in the seventh, while Eastland managed only a fourth-inning run until its final at-bat.
Early came out on top despite mustering just two hits – singles by Jaxson Stockman and Eli Pallette – as Eastland committed three errors and walked six batters. Pallette finished two RBIs, as did Hunter McCullough, who walked twice.
On the mound, Chris Ivy went the distance, yielding two earned runs on four hits with eight strikeouts and two walks over seven innings to collect the win, while the Longhorn defense committed three errors behind him.
Next for the Longhorns is a 7 p.m. Tuesday home date with Tolar.
