
The Brownwood Art Association is calling for original art works by local and regional artists for the Art Center’s upcoming exhibit, “Spirit of the Southwest.” The exhibit is scheduled for May 28-June 24, with artworks to be delivered to the Art Center for intake on May 22.
Artists of all backgrounds are invited to submit their work for this exciting showcase. Sculpture (wood, metal, stone), pottery, jewelry, fiber, photography, oil, gouache, watercolor, pastel, and acrylic paint are all eligible for entry to this show.
BAA President Brad Bradley explains that “Spirit of the Southwest themes could include ranching, rodeo, cowboys and cowgirls, Native American, Mexican, and Tejano cultures, pioneer history, flora, fauna, and more.”
