Bobby Eugene Dickinson, a devoted family man, proud veteran, and respected member of his community, passed away on Monday, March 23, 2026, at Coleman County Medical Center in Coleman, Texas. Born on July 29, 1938, in Runnels County, Texas, Bobby’s life was marked by unwavering dedication, honesty, and a deep love for those around him.

Raised in Coleman County, Bobby graduated from Mozelle High School, where the foundations of his strong character were laid. His commitment to serving his country led him to proudly enlist in the United States Air Force, where he was stationed in Germany. This chapter of his life reflected his steadfast patriotism and determination.

Following his military service, Bobby pursued a career as a selected butcher, working for several meat markets throughout the Houston area. His skill and dedication to his trade earned him many friendships, and he was well regarded for both his craftsmanship and genuine nature. Bobby’s straightforward and honest personality made him not only a reliable professional but also a cherished friend and colleague.

Bobby’s personal life was rich and fulfilling. On September 21, 1957, he married Neta Ann Wallace in San Angelo, a union that was a source of great joy and pride for him. Though Neta Ann preceded him in death, their lasting bond remained a treasured part of his life story.

Deeply connected to his faith, Bobby was often seen reading from the Pauline epistles, reflecting his spiritual devotion and contemplative nature. His love extended to the animals he cared for dearly, his dogs and horses were constant companions, providing comfort and happiness throughout his years.

He is survived by his son, Larry Dickinson; his sisters, Lela Fay Morrison, and Leona Ivy, along with her husband, Cleo; one grandson; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bobby’s family and friends will carry forward the memories of his honesty, strength, and the warmth he shared so generously.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Kyle Dickinson and Lela Nail, and his cherished wife, Neta Ann Dickinson. Their memories remain deeply embedded in his life’s legacy.

As we remember Bobby Eugene Dickinson, we honor a man whose life was marked by dedication—to his family, his faith, his country, and his craft. His presence will be profoundly missed, but his impact and spirit endure in the hearts of all whose lives he touched.

A graveside service celebrating his life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2026, at the Coleman City Cemetery Pavilion with Leif Scott officiating. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

The family requests with gratitude that memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org.

We invite you to share fond memories and words of comfort and condolence with the Dickinson family by signing the guestbook on Bobby’s tribute page at www.stevensfuneralhome.com. Stevens Funeral Home is honored to serve the Dickinson family.
