ABILENE – A pair of Brownwood Lions secured spots in the field at the Texas High School Powerlifting Association state meet with their recent regional efforts in Abilene.
Isaac Gonzales, in the 181-pound weight class, placed 4th with 1,235 pounds lifted – 455 squat, 295 bench, 485 deadlift.
Meanwhile, Adolfo Torres, in the 148s, finished 4th with 1,165 pounds lifted – 425 squat, 295 bench, 445 deadlift.
The THSPA State will take place March 27-28 in Abilene at the Taylor County Expo Center.
