The Brownwood Art Association is inviting the public to attend the opening reception for a new exhibit at the Brownwood Art Center, 215 Fisk, this Thursday, March 5, from 5-7 pm. This event is free, and light refreshments will be served.
The exhibit, titled “Our Four-Footed Friends,” features over 70 pieces, in media including fiber, wooden sculpture, polymer sculpture, pastel, acrylic, mixed media, and photography.
BAA Fundraising Coordinator Karen Beauchamp says “We received a generous donation from Ethos Pet Brands to support this show, and this allows us to have a $100 People’s Choice Award, so be sure to attend and cast your vote for your favorite piece.”
While you’re at the reception, sign up for an art class. Upcoming classes in March include Plein Air Sketching and Painting with Jeremy Serna, Finding Your Way With Watercolor and Gouache with June Musick, and Second Saturday Art Labs for kids ages 6-12.
