The sales tax allocations in February 2026 were higher than February 2025 in the Cities of Early and Bangs, but lower in the City of Brownwood, according to data released by the Texas Comptroller’s Office. The February sales tax allocations reflect taxable retail sales in December 2025. Details below.
BROWNWOOD
The City of Brownwood received $816,161 in February, a decrease of 11.51% compared to February 2025. Fiscal year-to-date (October 2025 through February 2026), Brownwood has received $3,316,111, up 2.96% vs. last year’s fiscal year-to-date.
The Brownwood Municipal Development District received $260,036, a decrease of 13.63% compared to February 2025. Fiscal year-to-date, the Brownwood MDD has received $1,074,771, up 2.15% vs. last year’s fiscal year-to-date.
EARLY
The City of Early received $277,642, an increase of 19.90% compared to February 2025. Fiscal year-to-date, Early has received $1,111,340, up 16.27% vs. last year’s fiscal year-to-date.
The Early Municipal Development District received $90,598, an increase of 20.39% compared to February 2025. Fiscal year-to-date the Early MDD has received $365,426, up 16.77% vs. last year’s fiscal year-to-date.
BANGS
The City of Bangs received $35,284, an increase of 17.47% compared to February 2025. Fiscal year-to-date, Bangs has received $148,208, up 16.33% vs. last year’s fiscal year-to-date.
The Bangs Municipal Development District received $4,611, an increase of 5.13% compared to February 2025. Fiscal year-to-date the Bangs MDD has received $18,510, up 6.32% vs. last year’s fiscal year-to-date.
