All five tenants at the future Shops on Commerce have officially registered with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR), with the stores expected to open later this year at 537 West Commerce.

The most recent to register on Feb. 20 is the largest store in the shopping center, Ross Dress For Less. Construction on the 18,065 square-foot Ross facility is anticipated to begin June 1.

Also registering earlier this month, on Feb. 10, is James Avery, which will start construction on June 8 and conclude on Sept. 15 on its 2,520 square-foot location.

The first store to register with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation was Five Below back on Jan. 17, 2025. Construction on Five Below was slated to begin Feb. 1 and be completed by April 23, according to the TDLR website, and signs are posted for those seeking employment at the work site.

Ulta Beauty also expects to start construction on its 7,809 square-foot store on June 1, with a completion date of Aug. 17 expected. Registration for the facility took place on Dec. 3.

And Bath and Body Works was originally scheduled to start construction on Feb. 2 and wrap up on April 3 for its 3,519 square-foot facility, according to the TDLR website. Registration for the store happened on Dec. 5.

The estimated construction cost for the entire Shops on Commerce, which comprises 41,320 square feet, is $2.9 million.
