Donnie Lee Boatright, 92, passed away February 22, 2026, loved and surrounded by family in her home.

A visitation will take place from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026, at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 28, 2026, at Coleman City Cemetery.

Donnie Lee Boatright was born in Coleman, TX on July 4, 1933, to R.S. Sanders and Jewell Bailey. She worked as a bookkeeper for multiple different companies throughout her life but spent most of her career bookkeeping for the hospital in Coleman.

She recently attended Cavern Babtist Church of Carlsbad. She was once a member of the Red Hat Ladies Society and had numerous brightly colored hats in her home. Donnie’s favorite hobby was reading, and she frequently stayed up late to read her books, sometimes falling asleep with them in her hands. She loved playing games and travelling and especially staying in her cabin in the mountains. Donnie was a very loving person to all, and she was widely respected and admired for her very sweet and genuine personality. She was an excellent hostess and enjoyed cooking and baking for those that came to visit. While she was an incredible homemaker, she was also a strong and independent woman.

Donnie is preceded in death by her parents, R.S. Sanders and Jewell Bailey; her three children, Susan Lee Boatright, Kay Lynn Boatright, and David Joe Boatright; as well as one brother and four sisters.

She is survived by daughter, Debra Ann Greer; grandchildren, Leslie Lewis and husband Marty, Eric Greer and wife Terra, Silena Townsend and husband Roger, Ladonna Henry and husband Dusty, Eli Boatright and wife Tiffany, and Hardy Boatright; great-grandchildren, Tyler Lewis, Lillynn Lewis, RyLeigh Greer, ZaLeigh Greer, KeLeigh Greer, Ryan Townsend, Gage Townsend, Callie Townsend, Martin Boatright, Nova Henry, and Peyton Henry.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Lewis, RyLeigh Greer, Lillynn Lewis, ZaLeigh Greer, KeLeigh Greer, and Leslie Lewis.

The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff and caretakers at Enhabit Hospice. We invite you to share fond memories and words of comfort and condolence with the Boatright family by signing the guestbook on Donnie’s tribute page at www.stevensfuneralhome.com. Stevens Funeral Home is honored to serve the Boatright family.
