
According to District Attorney Micheal Murray, during the February 2026 session of the Brown County Grand Jury, 23 true bills were returned against 23 persons.
Those indicted were:
- Joshua Alfredo Carbajal – Ct. 1: Failure to register – Failure to report intent to change address; Ct. 1: Failure to register – Failure to report change of address; Ct. 3: Failure to register – Driver’s license
- Chance Lee Billiot – Possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram
- Traveler John Roberson – Possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram
- Cody Nicholas Cowan – Possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram
- William Chad Daugherty – Possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram, state jail felony enhancement
- Leigha Renee Jester aka Leigha Renee Wilson – Possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram, state jail felony enhancement
- Luke R. Hopkins aka Luke Reece Hopkins aka Luke Reese Hopkins – Evading arrest with a vehicle, habitual offender
- Juan Gonzales Robles, Jr. – Possession of a controlled substance less than 1 gram drug free zone, habitual offender
- Chad Allen Wittke – Possession of a controlled substance, 1 to 4 grams
- Cory Lance Stephens aka Corey Lance Stephens – Driving while intoxicated third or more
- Reba Faye Buffington – Driving while intoxicated third or more, repeat offender
- Eduardo Jaime Pena – Driving while intoxicated third or more
- Dustin Lance Galloway aka Dustin Galloway – Felon in possession of a firearm, habitual offender
The District Attorney’s Office does not release names on new indictments until after the Grand Jury proceedings have been processed through the District Clerk and a file marked copy of the Grand Jury Report has been returned.
The District Attorney’s Office does not release names of Defendants who have been indicted by a Grand Jury but not yet arrested because of an indictment being sealed until the time of arrest. In addition, names of individuals who have had no formal charges filed against them and who are no-billed by a Grand Jury will not be released by the District Attorney’s Office at this time.
