Sharon Tobin, 86, of Brownwood, died peacefully at her daughter’s home in Brownwood, Texas, on Thursday, February 12, 2026. She was born in Commerce, Texas, April 26, 1939, to Charles and Marie Haas.
During her early childhood, the family relocated to Dallas, where she was a proud 1957 graduate of South Oak Cliff High School (Go Golden Bears!). Being the divorced, single mom of an only child, she began a long career as a secretary and bookkeeper, working first at Burlington Industries in Dallas, then at Powr-Lift Corporation in Irving. She married Robert M. Tobin, Sr., on February 15, 1992. They relocated to his beloved Circle T Ranch in Brookesmith, Texas, where she lived until 2024. The last two weeks of her life were spent living with her daughter and son-in-law in Brownwood.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Robert “Bob” Tobin, Sr.; parents Charles and Marie Haas; grandparents Festus and Lucy Webb and John and Mary Grace Haas; and sister-in-law, Beverly Haas.
Left to cherish her memory are her only child, Teresa “Teri” Harry and husband, Scott, of Brownwood; brother Ken Haas of Frisco; granddaughter Casie Pesina and husband, Joaquin, of Brownwood; granddaughter Shelbie Jo Paschal and husband Jesse of Early; great grandchildren Cooper Cooke, Scotlyn Jo Paschal, Liam Pesina, and Christian Pesina; niece Lauri Beth Welch and husband, Gary of Anna; nephew Steve Haas and wife, Jodi, of Frisco; and beloved grand dogs Emmitt (#22 #DC4L), MaeMae, and Roux. Additionally, she is survived so many other special family and friends, too many to count but one, in particular, her “honey-do” man, Christopher Tobin of Brookesmith.
Special thanks and much love to Dr. Molly Gray and her staff; the entire staff at Solaris Hospice, especially April Tassin, RN; and to Libby and Mary and their staff at Vicksburg Retirement Community. Mom loved you all so much.
Momma, I love you oodles and kabodkins, forever and ever. Save me that promised chair, and I will see you “in the blink of an eye.” Always, Teri
A Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 11 a.m., with Reverend Terry Maze officiating at the Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel in Brownwood.
Arrangements are entrusted with Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.
