
STEPHENVILLE – The Brownwood High tennis team put forth a solid effort at the Stephenville tournament Friday, capturing one championship, earning a pair of runner-up finishes, and securing a consolation title as well.
For the second tournament in a row, following their performance at Marble Falls last week, Ashlyn Bundick and Blake Hutchins captured a gold medal in mixed doubles.
Also repeating this week, Trine Baugh and Aiden Opltonik again placed second in boys doubles, joined by Gigi Rodriguez and Jami Patterson as the second-place duo in girls doubles.
And in boys singles competition, Eric Smith played his way to the consolation championship.
Brownwood will next compete in the Lampasas quad event Friday.
