No. 22 May Lady Tigers 75, Sidney 7

SIDNEY – The No. 22 May Lady Tigers completed a flawless run to the District 21-A girls basketball championship with a 75-7 road victory over Sidney Friday.

May (27-7, 12-0) raced out to a 18-0 advantage after one quarter that grew to 43-1 by halftime and 62-7 after three frames.

Scoring for the Lady Tigers were Chloe Lord with 22 points, Jordyn Gerhardt with 19, Lauren Hicks with 17, Aubree Gerhardt and Cortney Harper with eight apiece, and McKenna Landes with one point.

The Lady Tigers will host Huckabay in a non-district outing Tuesday.

No. 17 May Tigers 62, Sidney 32

SIDNEY – The No. 17 May Tigers remained undefeated against District 21-A competition with a 62-32 road victory over Sidney Friday.

The Tigers (20-8, 10-0) led 17-12 after the initial stanza, 27-18 at the break, and 49-25 heading to the last quarter.

Point producers for May were Kobey Morris with 24, Jackson Lusk with 11, Brody Stice with 10, Maddix Raffel with nine, Kaden Watkins with eight, and Taylor Newman with three points.

May next visits Santa Anna at 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13.

No. 24 Zephyr Bulldogs 95, Brookesmith Mustangs 28

BROOKESMITH – The District 25-A champion Zephyr Bulldogs added another league win to their tally, 95-28 at Brookesmith Friday night.

The Bulldogs (23-7, 10-0) created a 26-14 cushion after one period that stood at 46-21 at intermission and 65-25 ahead of the fourth quarter.

Zephyr received 20 points from Reese Hamm, 15 from Spencer Marwitz, 14 from Troy Kubin, 12 from CJ Byers, eight apiece from Ethan Prochaska, Cooper Walls and Bauer Blair, five from Chayden Woodcock, three from Slade Butler and two points from Quayde Heard.

Caleb Bradley scored 12 points for Brookesmith while Austin Loyd added eight, Levi Benson tallied three, and Addy Heard and Aryn Barnett each scored two points.

Zephyr will visit Baird in non-district action Tuesday while Brookesmith is off until Friday, Feb. 13 when it travels to Priddy.
