
Early Lady Horns 42, Eastland 27
EASTLAND – The Early Lady Horns improved to 10-2 in District 8-3A and 23-9 for the season with a 42-27 road victory over Eastland Tuesday night.
The Lady Horns were in front 13-2 after one quarter, 25-8 at halftime, and 36-17 through three periods.
Andie Simpson sparked the Early offense with 18 points followed by nine from Aliyah Harlan, seven from Gabby Benson, six from Avery Williams, and two points from Cali Vargas.
The Lady Horns are set to travel to Tolar Friday night.

No. 17 May Tigers 64, Cross Plains 45
MAY – The 17th-ranked May Tigers kept their flawless District 21-A boys basketball record intact Tuesday night with a 64-45 home victory over Cross Plains.
The Tigers (19-8, 9-0) trailed Cross Plains 14-11 after one quarter, but grabbed a 28-24 lead at halftime that grew to 43-28 heading to the fourth period.
Scoring for May were Kobey Morris with 21 points, Jackson Lusk with 14, Kaden Watkins with 12, Brody Stice with 10, Mikey Scheriger with five, and Tyran Perry with two points.
The Tigers travel to Sidney Friday night.

No. 22 May Lady Tigers 62, Cross Plains 24
MAY – The 22nd-ranked May Lady Tigers remained undefeated against District 21-A girls basketball foes Tuesday with a 62-24 triumph over Cross Plains.
The Lady Tigers (26-7, 11-0) opened a 19-4 advantage after one quarter that increased to 29-11 at halftime and stood at 42-15 after three frames.
May’s offense was paced by Chloe Lord and Jordyn Gerhardt with 18 points apiece, Cortney Harper with 10, seven each from Lauren Hicks and McKenna Landes, and two points from Aubree Gerhardt.
The Lady Tigers are back in action Friday at Sidney.

No. 24 Zephyr Bulldogs 55, Cherokee 33
ZEPHYR – The No. 24 Zephyr Bulldogs wrapped up the District 25-A boys basketball championship with a 55-33 home victory over Cherokee Tuesday.
Zephyr (22-7, 9-0) led 15-10 after one period, 29-15 at halftime, and 42-31 heading into the fourth quarter.
Ethan Prochaska scored a team-high 13 points for the Bulldogs followed by 12 from Reese Hamm, 11 from Spencer Marwitz, eight from Bauer Blair, five from Cooper Walls, three from CJ Byers, two from Troy Kubin, and one point from Reid Hamm.
Zephyr is scheduled to venture to Brookesmith Friday.

Zephyr Lady Bulldogs 38, Cherokee 29
ZEPHYR – The Zephyr Lady Bulldogs maintained their hold on second place in the District 25-A girls basketball standings with a 38-29 triumph over Cherokee Tuesday.
Zephyr (18-14, 8-2) was down 7-5 after one period, tied at 12 at halftime, and opened a 31-18 edge heading into the fourth quarter.
The Lady Bulldogs received 14 points from Avery Stevens, nine from Kenlyn King, seven from Calyn Kubin, four from Sydney Hobson, and two points each from Kirstan King and Nataly Lopez.
Zephyr is slated to visit Brookesmith Friday.
