CLYDE – The Brownwood Lady Lions placed first as a team, and the Lions were third overall in the final team standings at the Clyde powerlifting meet Saturday.

Winning their weight classes for the Lady Lions were Aliyah Berndt in the 242s, Kynley Martin in the 165s, and Maddi Scott in the 148s.

Placing second for the Lady Lions were Leslie Rios in the 220s, and Ashley Robinson in the 123s.

Coming in third for the Brownwood girls were De’Layna Hall in the 220s, Allisson Reyna in the 189s, Atlanta Olguin in the 181s, Amiyah Avalos in the 132s, and Emera Lombrana in the 114s.

For the Lions, Adolfo Torres in the 148s and Isaac Gonzales in the 181s won their weight classes, while Kayden Doucette placed second in the 114s.

Brownwood will next compete at Godley Thursday, Feb. 5.
