Head coach Jeryl Brixey’s Brownwood Lions have been projected to be placed in Region I, II, III and IV by various pundits heading into Monday’s UIL biennial realignment

The X page Texas HS Sports has revamped its recent UIL Class 4A Division II realignment projections, and in doing so the Brownwood Lions have now been predicted to be placed in all four regions.

The latest guess from Texas HS Sports late Wednesday night places Brownwood in District 9, Region III, along with Waco Connally, Waco La Vega, Gatesville, Hillsboro, Robinson and Salado.

The rest of Region III in that scenario would feature District 10 – which would house the Lions’ bi-district foe – consisting of Athens, Brownsboro, Carthage, Center, Madisonville and Rusk. District 11 would be comprised of Hamshire-Fannett, Hardin-Jefferson, Jasper, Shepherd, Silsbee and West Orange-Stark, and District 12 would be made up of Houston schools Furr, Kashmere, North Forest, Scarborough, Washington, Wheatley, Worthing and Yates.

Over the weekend, Texas HS Sports’ first projection saw Brownwood in District 5, Region II, along with Brock, Glen Rose, Lake Worth, Mineral Wells and Venus.

The first guess by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football revealed near the end of the 2025 football season had Brownwood in Region I, District 4 with Brock, Glen Rose, Mineral Wells, Iowa Park, Graham and Burkburnett.

Then on New Year’s Eve, a revamped projection by DCTF placed Brownwood in Region IV of Class 4A Division II, located in District 13 along with Waco La Vega, Robinson, Gatesville, Venus, Waco Connally, and Hillsboro.

Again, these are all just projections as the UIL realignment will be officially announced Monday, Feb. 2 at 9 a.m.
