It is with heavy hearts and deep gratitude that we announce the passing of Russell Edward Conner. Family Directed Celebration of Life Service will be held the First Methodist Church in Bangs, Texas on February 14th at 11:00 AM.

Russell Conner, beloved son, brother, uncle and friend, went to be with the Lord on January 21st, 2026 at the age of 66.

Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmy and Johnye Conner.

Left to cherish his memory are his brothers, James Ray Conner (Brenda) and Randy L. Conner. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews, Calley Conner (Meagan), Toby Conner (Shana), Ryan Conner (Kelly), Lana Bagley (Scotty), April Ward (Justin), Jayson Conner (Lindsey) and D’Ann Dedeke (Taylor). He will continue to be loved by nineteen great- nieces and nephews.

Russell was born on August 17th ,1959 in Big Lake, TX to Jimmy & Johnye Conner. Russell graduated from Plains High School and furthered his education at Texas Tech University where he received his bachelor’s degree in political science and government. After college, he started his professional career in New Mexico working for a local title company. Throughout the years, he worked his way up in the title industry to his current position as Chief Title Officer at Capital Title of Texas, where he had been for nineteen years. He loved to play golf, play his guitar for family and friends, and give everyone a healthy knowledge of all thing’s history.

He will be remembered for his warm smile, helping nature, witty personality and devotion to his family and co-workers, whom many became like family to him.

He has been a good and faithful servant and ran the good race.
