
On Saturday, January 31, from 1:30-3 p.m., the public is invited to the Brownwood Art Association (215 Fisk Avenue in Brownwood) to share in a unique and inspiring art experience with renowned fine artist Randall Cogburn of Austin, Texas. Admission is complimentary.
Attendees will be introduced to the beauty and technique of plein air painting as Cogburn leads a free discussion and demonstration. During the art talk, he will create a painting from start to finish featuring a Brownwood location.
Cogburn is a native Texan and oil painter. He began his career as an Urban Sketcher in pen & ink and watercolor, then shifted to oil painting which led him into Gallery shows, representation, published articles, winning major awards at art shows, gallery representation, and commercial and private commissions. Cogburn has recently expanded his knowledge of painting, exploring different styles and techniques ranging from realistic, impressionistic, and abstract to modern. He has a passion for painting and making interesting works to view and collect.
