Brown County Sheriff’s Office Report: Jan. 21

The following information was provided by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office:

  • Friday, 01/09/2025, Sgt. Chris Angel met with Brown County Adult Probation in reference to forged signatures on a government document. Information was gathered, and a report was taken. An investigation is underway.
  • On January 09, 2026, I, Deputy Saydie Bradley, was dispatched to CR 344 in regard to two pot belly pigs being located at this address. Information was gathered, and the pigs were later estrayed and taken to the county livestock pins at the Brown County Sheriff’s Office. A report was made.
  • On Monday, January 12, 2026, at approximately 1456 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Steven Trevino initiated a traffic stop on N. HWY 279. The odor of marijuana was emitting from the inside of the vehicle. A probable cause search was conducted and marijuana was located. A passenger in the vehicle claimed ownership and was placed into custody for possession of marijuana. A report was made.
  • On 01/12/2026, at 0915 hours, Deputy Michel Wilson was dispatched to a phone complaint about a Theft, which had occurred at Clover Leaf Dr. Steven Gresham said a building on his property had been sold to him by Tammy King. Tammy Kind did not disclose at the time of selling the property the building had a lien on it from Derksen Portable Buildings. Information was obtained, and a report has been made.
  • On Monday, January 12, 2026, at approximately 1232 hours, I, Brown County Deputy Sheriff’s Steven Trevino, was dispatched regarding a Theft which could be handled by phone. Caller advised he believed his firearm was taken from his vehicle. Caller stated he believed the theft happened at his place of employment. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
  • On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at 10:44 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff TJ Harrell was dispatched to a walk-in at the Brown County Law Enforcement Center for a possible Theft. The victim explained he had a Leupold rifle scope (VX-5 HD Gen 2 4-20X52) delivered to his residence while on a cruise. When he returned to his residence, the rifle scope was missing. The value of the scope is $1999.99. Information was gathered, and a report was generated.
  • On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at approximately 1423 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Steven Trevino was dispatched regarding a Forgery call, which could be handled by phone. The complainant stated his ex-father-in-law signed his name on a vehicle title document. The document was used to repossess the property of the complainant without their effective consent. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
  • On Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at approximately 1423 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Steven Trevino was dispatched regarding a Forgery call, which could be handled by phone. The complainant stated his ex-father-in-law signed his name on a vehicle title document. The document was used to repossess the property of the complainant without their effective consent. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
  • On January 14, 2026, Sergeant Smith was assigned to call #26-001529. Sergeant Smith talked with the caller, who said Mariah Shirley was refusing to return a service dog belonging to Austin Shirley. Sergeant Smith talked to both parties and arrangements were made for the return of the dog. Sergeant Smith collected information, and a report for theft was made.
  • On Thursday, 01/16/2026, at about 0003 hours, Deputy Chris Williamson and Deputy Alex Sanchez were dispatched to an Assault located at 299 Trey Lane, Bangs, TX. JAMI MARIE BROWN and Brent Leroy Huxford got into a physical altercation. BROWN assaulted Huxford after driving to his residence, entering his residence, and waking him up by slapping him in the face. BROWN was arrested and taken into custody. Information was collected, and a report was made.
  • On 01/16/2025, at 0841 hours, Deputy Michel Wilson was dispatched to CR 302 for a Theft of Camper from the property. While investigating this incident, the owner of the property, Taylor Oakley, said the Polaris Ranger I located on his property was not his. While the investigation continued, the Polaris Ranger was found to belonged to his neighbor, Kevin Sharpe. After an investigation, it was found Kevin had his camper and shed burglarized also. Information was obtained, and a report has been made for investigation.
  • On Friday, January 16, 2026, at approximately 1247 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Steven Trevino was dispatched to FM 590 and CR 306, Zephyr, Texas 76890, regarding a suspicious vehicle. The vehicle was occupied by a driver, asleep, with the keys still in the ignition. The driver also had multiple open containers of an alcoholic beverage. There was an open alcoholic beverage between the driver’s legs. The driver admitted to driving to this location and consuming alcohol beforehand. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were conducted and resulted in a failure. The driver was placed into custody for Driving While Intoxicated. A report was made.
  • On Friday, January 16, 2026, at 13:36 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff TJ Harrell was dispatched to the Brown County Law Enforcement Center for a possible Forgery. The complaint stated a check made out to her was stolen and cashed in Ardmore, Oklahoma. Information was gathered, and a report was generated.
  • On 01/16/2026, at 1632 hours, Deputy Wilson was dispatched to US South 183 for a found bicycle in the bar ditch. Property was obtained from the bar ditch, and a report has been made.
  • On 01/17/26, at approximately 1553 hours, Deputy Ethan Fox was dispatched to N US 183, May, Tx 76357 regarding a Criminal Mischief complaint. Upon arrival, Deputy Fox observed a damage mailbox lying on the ground. Deputy Fox spoke with the tenant of the residence and gathered information. A report was made.
  • On 01/17/2026, at approximately 1543 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Madeline Reigle was notified regarding Criminal Mischief at County Road 550, Brownwood, Texas 76801. The victim had been away for work and vacation since November and arrived home today to find his truck had been vandalized. Wiring had been cut within the engine bay and near the brakes, causing an estimated $9,000 in damages. Photographs were taken and a report was made for further investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
  • On Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 05:52 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff TJ Harrell was patrolling County Road 234, Brown County, Texas 76801 and observed a black GMC Envoy in the south bound lane of traffic. The vehicle was determined to be a traffic hazard and was removed from the road. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
  • On Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 13:16 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff TJ Harrell was patrolling County Road 180, Bangs, Texas, 76823 and observed a black Lincoln Nautilus, parked in the roadway. The driver ofthe vehicle was the property owner of a fence damaged by a vehicle. The vehicle had left the scene. The value of the fence is $2000.00. Information was gathered, and a report was generated.
  • On 01/18/2026, at 1318 hours, Deputy Michel Wilson was dispatched to the Law Enforcement Center to take a report of a Criminal Trespass which occurred at Chaparral Drive. Donald Gilmore showed me pictures from his camera he installed of Crystal Greene on the property with an active Criminal Trespass on this property. While talking to Donald, he also mentioned a Terroristic Threat to cause serious bodily injury, which was made toward him by Crystal. Information was obtained, and a report has been made.
  • On 01/18/2026, at approximately 2058 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Madeline Reigle was contacted by dispatch regarding an Animal Complaint at CR 334, Blanket, Texas 76432. Deputy Reigle spoke with the complainant, Jamie Tabor, who stated a dog had attacked and killed at least three of her sheep. The last sheep and the dog could not be located. A report was made for informational purposes.
  • On 01/19/2026, at approximately 2331 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Madeline Reigle and Deputy Sheriff Christopher Williamson were dispatched to W. Spencer Street, Bangs, Texas 76823 in reference to Disorderly Conduct. Deputy Reigle spoke with the victim, who claimed KAYLA POLLARD verbally and physically threatened to assault the victim with a large torch-style lighter. POLLARD allegedly threated to vandalize the victim’s car, and witnesses on scene saw POLLARD attempt to break the windows of, and enter, the victim’s car. Photographs were taken, and a report was made for further investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
