WINTER WEATHER SCHEDULE CHANGES

The following is a list of postponements, reschedulings, cancellations, or delays related to impending winter weather. This post will be updated as more information is received:

RESCHEDULED

  • The Brownwood Lady Lions soccer teams will now host Fort Worth Castleberry Thursday, Jan. 22 at 4 and 5:30 p.m., instead of Friday, Jan. 23.
  • The Brownwood Lions and Lady Lions basketball teams will now host Brock Thursday, Jan. 22 – with the varsity girls at 5:45 p.m. and the varsity boys at 7:15 p.m. – instead of Friday, Jan. 23.
  • The Early Longhorns and Lady Horns basketball teams will now play their home games against Peaster on Thursday, Jan. 22 instead of Friday, at the originally scheduled times
  • The Bangs Dragons and Lady Dragons basketball teams will now play their games at Miles Thursday, Jan. 22, starting with the JV boys at 4 p.m., instead of Friday, Jan. 23
  • The Brookesmith Mustangs’ Friday, Jan. 23 basketball game at Mullin has been moved to Thursday, Jan. 22 at 6 p.m.
  • Thursday’s junior high basketball games around the area have been rescheduled for Wednesday due a lack of officials after Friday’s high school games were rescheduled for Thursday

CANCELLATIONS

Saturday, Jan. 24

  • The Brownwood Lady Lions softball scrimmages at Burnet have been cancelled.
  • The Howard Payne Lady Jackets and Yellow Jackets basketball games at East Texas Baptist have been postponed and will be rescheduled.

Sunday, Jan. 25

  • Calvary Baptist Church on 9th Street has canceled all activities and services

CLOSURES

  • Lake Brownwood State Park Comanche Trails Camping Loop, Willow Point, and Screened Shelters Thursday, Jan. 22 through Monday, Jan. 25
