CROSS PLAINS – The TABC Class A No. 17 May Tigers rolled past Cross Plains, 82-37, in District 21-A basketball action Friday night.
May (12-8, 3-0) led Cross Plains by a 14-4 count after one quarter, 36-14 at halftime, and 61-29 heading to the fourth period.
The offensive attack for the Tigers was sparked by Kobey Morris with 24 points, Brody Stice with 15, Jackson Lusk with 14, Mikey Scheriger with nine, Kaden Watkins with eight, and Tyran Perry and Kaiden Adams each with six points.
May is back in action Tuesday at home against Sidney.

Zephyr Bulldogs 60, Cherokee 48
CHEROKEE – The No. 25 Zephyr Bulldogs ran their record to 16-6 on the season and 3-0 in District 25-A action with a 60-48 triumph at Cherokee Friday.
Zephyr was up 14-9 after one quarter, 31-16 at halftime, and 46-31 heading to the fourth period.
Leading the charge for the Bulldogs were Reese Hamm with 20 points, Spencer Marwitz with 12, Bauer Blair with 11, Quayde Heard with six, CJ Byers, Cooper Walls and Ethan Prochaska with three each, Troy Kubin with two points.
The next game for Zephyr is Tuesday at home against Brookesmith.

Blanket Tigers 38, Rising Star 33
RISING STAR – The Blanket Tigers improved to 2-0 in District 21-A basketball action, and 13-2 on the season, with a 38-33 road victory over Rising Star Friday night.
Blanket received 18 points from Mason Beck, 12 from Brian Shannon, five from Kannon Kensing and three points from Kartel Keel.
The Tigers are back in action Tuesday at home against Gustine.

May Lady Tigers 51, Cross Plains 30
CROSS PLAINS – The May Lady Tigers remained undefeated against District 21-A foes with its 20th victory overall this season, 51-30 over Cross Plains Friday night.
May (20-6, 5-0) jumped in front 9-2 after one quarter, 24-10 at halftime, carried a 38-18 advantage into the fourth period.
The Lady Tigers were paced by Jordan Gerhardt with 28 points, Chloe Lord with nine, Lauren Hicks with eight, Aubree Gerhardt with six, McKenna Landes with five, and Cortney Harper with one point.
May next welcomes Sidney on Tuesday.

Early Lady Horns 45, Eastland 26
EARLY – The Early Lady Horns moved to 4-1 against District 8-3A foe and 17-8 for the season with a 45-26 home triumph over Eastland Friday night.
Early led 15-0 after one quarter, 25-10 at halftime, and 39-20 heading to the fourth quarter.
Scoring for the Lady Horns were Avery Williams with 16 points, Gabby Benson with 11, Andie Simpson with eight, Aliyah Harlen with four, and Cali Vargas and Cassidy Frerichs with three points apiece.
The Lady Horns next host Tolar on Tuesday.

Zephyr Lady Bulldogs 49, Cherokee 18
CHEROKEE – The Zephyr Lady Bulldogs notched a 49-18 road victory over District 25-A rival Cherokee Friday night.
The Lady Bulldogs were in front 10-5 through one frame 27-6 at intermission, and 33-9 heading into the final quarter.
Scoring for Zephyr were Avery Stevens with 19 points, Kenlyn King with 13, Riley Hood and Calyn Kubin with six each, and Sydney Hobson and Nataly Lopez with two points apiece.
The Lady Bulldogs next host No. 17 Brookesmith Tuesday.

Early Longhorns 75, Eastland 31
EARLY – The Early Longhorns pushed their District 8-3A basketball mark to 2-1, and season record to 7-13 with a 75-31 victory over Eastland Friday night.
The Longhorns were on top 20-8 after one quarter, 38-13 at halftime, and 59-18 after three periods.
Scoring for Early were Braiden Brown with 16 points, Dayton Zamora with 11, Ian Desai and Angel Marquez with 10 each, Darryl Watkins and Burleson with six points apiece, Rhett Williams and Nathan Pinkston with five each, and Skyden Stoddart and Zach Rumfield both with three points.
The Longhorns are back in action Tuesday when Tolar comes calling.
