
The following information was provided by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office:
- On Monday, December 29, 2025, at approximately 0902 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Steven Trevino was dispatched to County Road 235, Brownwood, Texas regarding individuals trespassing on private property. When deputies arrived, the individuals were still on scene and inside of their vehicle. The male suspect admitted to illegal narcotics being inside the vehicle. A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted and illegal narcotics were located. The male suspect was placed into custody for possession of controlled substance. A report was made.
- On 12/29/2025, at 1627 hours, Deputy Michel Wilson was dispatched to FM 2273 for a tractor/trailer, which had backed into a fence gate. Information was obtained, and an incident report has been made.
- On December 22, 2025, at approximately 1210, Deputy Scotty Burke was dispatched to the LEC in reference to a possible theft/civil matter report. Contact was made with Lindy Henderson, who stated, SETH MOORE, had taken her horse trailer after an agreement was reached for the exchange of some hay and possibly some cattle. Henderson said this “deal” had been ongoing for almost two years, and MOORE had not fulfilled his portion of the agreement. Information was gathered, and a report was taken.
- On Tuesday, December 30, 2025, I, Deputy Saydie Bradley, was patrolling the area of FM 2559, when I observed thick, black smoke coming from a property near FM 2559. The fire was located and then extinguished by Lake Bridge Fire Department. No one was at the residence to watch the fire. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Tuesday, 12/30/2025, at about 2313 hours, Deputy Chris Williamson was patrolling the area around Bangs, Texas. An abandoned, white, Ford F350 dully pickup truck, bearing TX LP# MTZ0923, at the intersection of Ray Barnes Dr. and 4th street was located. The vehicle was parked in the roadway and a traffic hazard. The vehicle was towed, and a report was made.
- On 12/26/2025, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to a Disorderly Conduct, which was occurring on Farm to Market Road 45, Brownwood, TX 76801. Deputy Geis was informed JASON WOMACK had threatened to kill himself and his girlfriend, Betty McGraw. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On 12/31/25, at approximately 1153 hours, Deputy Ethan Fox was dispatched to handle a Fraud. Deputy Fox spoke with Connie Ringler, who stated someone applied for unemployment benefits under her identity. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On 12/31/2025, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to handle a call regarding a walk-in for Fraud. Deputy Geis spoke to Terry Bennie and Patricia Bennie, who claimed CATHERINE BEARDEN had stolen approximately $3770.00. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On 12/31/2025, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to a possible rolling Domestic, which started on Farm to Market Road 45, Brownwood, TX 76801 and ended at the Brownwood Hendrick Hospital. Deputy Geis was informed TROY SOTO had arrived at the Hospital and taken his mom, Beatrice Soto, hostage. Information was gathered and TROY SOTO was taken into custody and transported to the Brown County Jail, where he was released to jail staff. A report was made.
- On December 31, 2025, at approximately 16:20, Sergeant G. Smith was dispatched to Seabreeze Drive for a Domestic Disturbance. Sergeant Smith arrived to find a male and female had been fighting and were at the Rusty Anchor. The male had cut his wrist with a knife. Both subjects were taken to Hendricks Hospital and treated for injuries. During the investigation, three deputies and two hospital security officers were assaulted. Both Makyla Gray and Jonathan Forga were arrested and booked into the Brown County for Assault.
- On December 31, 2025, at approximately 18:25, Deputy Dean Anderson, took a female, identified as GRAY, MAKYLA DANAE, to the hospital to get medically cleared to be assessed by a CRISIS Interventionist. GRAY was attempting to leave the examination room and find her boyfriend, Jonathan Daniel Forga, who was in custody for Assault Family Violence. She struck Deputy Anderson with her right hand in the face and head area. Stewart was placed in custody for Assault Against a Public Servant and booked into the Brown County Jail. Information was gathered, and report submitted.
- On December 31, 2025, at approximately 1904, Deputy Alexandria Sanchez was dispatched to County Road 315. Deputy Alex Sanchez spoke with Terry Edgar (Victim), who said he observed two dogs actively attacking his sheep. Terry killed one of the dogs. Information was taken, and a report was made.
- On December 31st, at 2350 hours, Deputy Hayden Donahoo was dispatched to a domestic at CR 257 in Brownwood, Tx 76801. Information and pictures were gathered on scene. A report was made.
- On 01/01/26, at approximately 0636 hours, Deputy Ethan Fox was dispatched to the intersection on Cr 180 and Cr 153 regarding missing stop signs. On arrival, Deputy Fox observed two missing stop signs. Deputy Fox notified the County Commissioner, and a report was made.
- On 01/01/2026, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to CR 616, Early, TX 76802 room number 31, the Care Nursing and Rehabilitation, regarding Stolen Property. Deputy Geis spoke to a Martha Gibson, who said someone stole approximately 40 1-ounce silver bars from her. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On 01/01/26 at approximately 1409 hours, Deputy Ethan Fox was dispatched to the intersection of East US 377 and FM 1467 regarding a suspicious blanket. On arrival, Deputy Fox observed a white blanket with red stains on it. Deputy Fox photographed the blanket and its location and placed the blanket in evidence. A report was made.
- On Monday, December 29, 2025, at approximately 0902 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Steven Trevino was dispatched to Cr 235, Brownwood, Texas regarding individuals trespassing on private property. A female on scene provided law enforcement with false identifying information. It was later learned this female had active warrants for her arrest. A report was made for failure to identify fugitive.
- On Friday, January 2, 2026, approximately 1356 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Steven Trevino was dispatched to Shawnee Drive regarding a hazmat emergency. Septic was possibly leaking onto another’s property and damaged the neighbors wooden fence. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On 01/02/2026, at approximately 1422 hours, Deputy Wilson was dispatched to CR 113 for Theft of a Motor Vehicle. After investigation, it was found William Lineberry had his red 1994 Jeep Wrangler stolen from the property and a camper had been broken into. Information was taken, and a report has been made.
- On 01/02/2026, at approximately 1422 hours, Deputy Wilson was dispatched to CR 113 for Theft of a Motor Vehicle. After investigation, it was found William Lineberry had his red 1994 Jeep Wrangler stolen from the property and a camper had been broken into, along with a camper owned by Kyle Lineberry. Information was taken, and a report has been made.
- On 1/3/26, at approximately 2311 hours, Deputy Hopson responded to W Commerce for an Assault Report. The victim advised TRISTEN SAVELL (W/M, 1/23/07) assaulted her and broke her phone. SAVELL was located and placed under arrest for Assault Causes Bodily Injury-FV and Criminal Mischief. He was transported to the Brown County Jail and released to jail staff.
- On 01/04/2025, at 1104 hours, Deputy Michel Wilson was dispatched to CR 113 in reference to a Trespassing, which occurred overnight. Cody and William Lineberry advised someone attempted to break the chain and lock on the gate of the deer lease owned by Jim McAnally. Information was obtained, and a report has been made.

- On 01/05/26, at approximately 1132 hours, Deputy Ethan Fox was dispatched to FM 3100 regarding a Theft complaint. On arrival, Deputy Fox spoke with Charles Cabler, who stated BURNETT, MICHAEL stole a check. Information was gathered, and report was made.
- On Tuesday, 1-6-2026, at about 1:40 hours, Sgt Byron Langley arrived at FM 586 S in Brownwood, TX regarding an Assault. When Sgt Langley arrived, PENA, RAMON DAKOTA (Suspect) came out of his camper trailer with a black rifle, waving it around and attempting to load the rifle by pulling the bolt action back and forth. PENA was detained and Sgt Langley was advised PENA had also assaulted his stepfather, James Alfred Roberts (Victim). PENA was arrested for Deadly Conduct and Assault Causes BI FV.
- On Friday, January 2, 2026, at approximately 14:54, Deputy Scotty Burke #139 was dispatched Hwy 183 South in reference to a possible accident, where a trash can had been struck and destroyed leaving trash on the roadway and bar ditch. Deputy Burke located the accident scene at Hwy 183 South. Contact was made with the property owner, who was aware of the incident and was preparing to pick up the trash. The property owner stated he believed the incident took place between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm. Photos were taken, information was gathered, and a report was completed.
- On 01/06/26, at approximately 0902 hours, Deputy Fox initiated a follow investigation regarding a complaint he received on 01/05/26. Deputy Fox spoke with Derek Tabner, who stated he would like to file charges on BURNETT, MICHAEL for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
