
The following information was provided by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office:
- On Monday, December 22, 2025, I, Deputy Saydie Bradley, was contacted by Game Warden Reeves regarding a tip he received on the Texas Parks and Wildlife tipline. I advised Game Warden Reeves I was off and would be back in the Office on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. Game Warden Reeves contacted me on Tuesday, December 23, 2025. Game Warden Reeves and I traveled to the location and spoke to the complainant, information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On 12/23/2025, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to CR 603, Brownwood, TX 76801 regarding a Dangerous Dog. Deputy Geis spoke to a Julio Gurrola, who said he was attacked by a tan Pitbull in the area of County Road 602 and County Road 603. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Wednesday, December 24, 2025, at approximately 1204 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Steven Trevino was dispatched to an address on Pitts Ln in Blanket, TX regarding Burglary of a Storage Unit. The lock on the complainant’s storage unit was cut, and items were taken from inside. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On 12/24/2025, at approximately 1551 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Madeline Reigle was notified of a Theft, which occurred at Shamrock Drive, Brownwood, Texas 76801. The victims stated TRAVIS OWEN TOLSON stole a king size mattress, the bedframe, and a Wii Fit gaming console. A report was made for further investigation by the Brown County Criminal Investigations Division.
- On 12/24/25, at approximately 1717 hours, Deputy Hopson, responded to CR 198 for an Assault Report. The victim claimed a known suspect threw a chair at him.
- On Thursday, December 25, 2025, at approximately 1208 hours, Sergeant Francisco Valencia with the Brown County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to speak with a complainant by phone call regarding suspicious activity. The complainant, a cashier at the Brownwood Market, said an unknown male entered the store and stated he was going to rob the store later in the evening. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On 12/25/2025, at 1131 hours, Deputy Wilson was dispatched to CR 564 for two dogs running at large. After investigation, Bobby Evans was issued dog prohibited from running at large and 2 citations for unvaccinated dogs.
- On 12/25/2026, at approximately 1730 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Madeline Reigle was contacted regarding a Welfare Check at the Hideout RV Park. During the course of the investigation, Deputy Reigle learned the individual subject to the Welfare Check was fleeing a Domestic Violence situation allegedly perpetrated by the caller, who was the victim’s spouse. The victim was later located safe at a separate location; resources were provided to them, and their location was not disclosed. It was also learned the spouse had threatened the victim with physical violence. Statements were taken and a report was made for further investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
- On Friday, December 26, 2025, at approximately 04:48, Sergeant Smith was dispatched to call for service #25-040803 concerning an animal complaint on the block of FM 218. Sergeant Smith arrived at the address and was told two dogs had killed several sheep during the night. Sergeant Smith took the information from the caller, and a report was made.
- On 12/26/2025, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to handle a terroristic threat over the phone. Deputy Geis called and spoke to a Janet Roberts, who said her son, PENA, RAMON, threatened her daughter-in-law, Michelle Bertram. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On 12/27/2025, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to handle a Theft of Property call, which occurred at CR 604, Brownwood, TX 76801. Deputy Geis called and spoke to Toby Key, who claimed his former landlord had stolen some items from his residence while he was away. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On 12/28/2025, Deputy John Geis was dispatched to CR 418, May, TX 76857 regarding a Disorderly Conduct. Deputy Geis arrived and spoke to a Larry Staggs, who said he was threatened by his son, BRADLEY STAGGS. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On December 28, 2025, at 1855 hours, Deputy Hayden Donahoo was dispatched to a Theft at N West St in Bangs, Tx 76823. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On 12/28/25, at approximately 1126 hours, Deputy Ethan Fox was dispatched to handle a Fraud Complaint at Red Clay Rd, Bangs, Tx 76823. Deputy Fox spoke with Mary Herrera, who stated someone used her information to purchase two phones from Verizon. Information was gathered, and a report was made.
- On Sunday, 12-29-2025, at about 00:16 hours, Sgt Byron Langley arrived at Oak Hill Circle in Brownwood, TX regarding Found Property. Fire Chief Jody Horton advised they had found some jewelry after putting out a house fire. The jewelry was collected and placed in an evidence locker to be returned to the owner.
- On December 29, 2025, I, Deputy Saydie Bradley, was patrolling CR 317 in Early, TX, when I located an illegal dumping on the side of the roadway. While investigating the illegal dumping, I located a large trash pit, which can be seen from the roadway. Information was gathered, and a report was made.

- On 12/29/2025, at approximately 2228 hours, Brown County Deputy Sheriff Madeline Reigle was contacted by dispatch in regard to a Crisis Intervention. Deputy Reigle spoke with the caller, who stated their estranged ex-husband had been sending harassing text messages all day and had showed up to their house unannounced, making the caller fear for their safety. The caller stated the ex-husband made threats to harm himself in their presence. Deputy Reigle made contact with WYLIE ODAS HAYS, who stated he had not made any suicidal ideation, and felt as though he needed to be heard by his ex-spouse. HAYS refused to meet with Deputy Reigle in person to confirm his welfare or safety. Hays was advised he was Criminally Trespassed from his ex-spouse’s home, and he needed to stop contacting them immediately. A report was made for further investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division.
