
The Texas Department of Public Safety provided the following information Tuesday on a two-vehicle accident that took place on Christmas night 2.2 miles south of Cisco that claimed the life of a Cisco teenager.
According to the report, the accident occurred at 8:20 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 25 on State Highway 6 in Eastland County.
The preliminary investigation revealed that 2012 Toyota Tundra pickup truck was traveling south on Highway. A 2025 Yozma IN-10, electric “dirt bike” motorcycle was also traveling south, but was operating off the west side of the roadway in the barrow ditch. The driver of the dirt bike, a 13-year-0ld male from Cisco, attempted to cross both the northbound and southbound lanes of Highway 6 to enter his residence driveway and entered into the path of Toyota Tundra. As a result, the two vehicles collided, leading to the death of the driver of the dirt bike, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The identity of the teenager has not been released by the DPS.
