
STERLING CITY – The Class 4A No. 11 Brownwood Lady Lions ran their win streak to seven games Monday afternoon with a 56-44 neutral site victory over Class 6A Odessa Permian.
The Lady Lions (15-3) shot 40 percent (18 of 45) from the field, including 50 percent (11 of 22) from the three-point arc, and 60 percent (9 of 15) from the free throw line. Brownwood also pulled down 22 rebounds, recorded seven steals, and committed 12 turnovers.
Brownwood led Odessa Permian (20-4) by an 18-7 count after one quarter, 30-16 at halftime, and 40-32 heading to the fourth period.
Nylah Hall fueled the Lady Lions with 23 points followed by 11 each from Jentry Coalson and Trinity Roberts, eight from Icess Hall, and three points from Jaidyn Hope.
The Lady Lions return to action Monday, Dec. 29 to open play in the 52-team, 107-game, three-day TexasBank Holiday Classic.
