Mike Hubbard, born on June 12, 1951, in Coleman, Texas, peacefully passed away on December 19, 2025, at his residence in Grapevine, Texas, surrounded by his family. A man whose skill and craftmanship were evident throughout his life, Mike dedicated many years as the maintenance supervisor at Leisure Lodge and worked diligently for the city of Coleman.
Growing up in Coleman, Mike was an active young man, graduating from Coleman High School where he excelled in athletics and developed a lifelong passion for sports. His love for competition and teamwork continued through adulthood, as he became an avid golfer and a proud member of the Coleman Country Club. Mike, also fondly called “Humpy”, recalled his days on the softball field, where he and his brother Vince played for the Silver Bullets team, creating cherished memories together.
Mike’s interests extended beyond sports; he found joy in fishing, aviation, and the thrill of watching planes take off and land at DFW International Airport. He cherished riding the train to Fort Worth, where he enjoyed spending time in the Stockyards, a locale that brought him much happiness.
Mike will be lovingly remembered by his brother, Vincent Hubbard, and his wife, Renee, both of Grapevine. He had a special bond with his beloved nieces and nephews: Haleigh Holloway and her husband Weston; Mackenzie Hubbard; Colten Erwin and his wife Katherine; and Ericka Porter and her husband Jared. Mike was also a doting great-uncle to Kenzie, Kason, Dayton, River, Oaklyn, Valor, Avery, Jonah, with one more great-nephew, Levi Vincent, on the way. He also leaves behind his uncle, Arthur Windham, and his wife Carolyn, as well as many cousins.
In addition to his living family, Mike is preceded in death by his parents, Harold Rayburn Hubbard and Faye Dean, and his brother, Richard Hubbard.
His family will honor Mike’s remarkable life with a graveyard service at Santa Anna Cemetery in Santa Anna, Texas, on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, starting at 2:30 p.m. Mike Hubbard’s legacy, characterized by hard work, strong familial bonds, and a zest for life, will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
