
For the second time this season, the Brownwood Lions picked up a victory over the Brady Bulldogs, earning a 64-60 triumph Friday afternoon at Warren Gym.
Brownwood (9-7) – which also defeated Brady, 56-51, at the Dublin tournament on Dec. 6 – led the rematch 22-16 after one quarter, 38-20 at halftime, and 51-36 heading to the fourth period, where the Bulldogs owned a 24-13 scoring edge over the Lions.
Leading the charge for Brownwood were Durham Brown with 21 points, Cannon Calvert with 13, Elias Perez and Jordan Gilbert with seven each, Bennett Windham with six, Santiago Alvizo and Tru Pesina with three each, and Carson Noe and Riggs Gray with two points apiece.
The Lions are off until Monday, Dec. 29 when it begins play in the TexasBank Holiday Classic.
