
Early Longhorns 53, Comanche Indians 32
EARLY – The Early Longhorns opened the District 8-3A portion of their basketball schedule Friday with a 53-32 victory over the Comanche Indians.
Early (5-8, 1-0) led 12-5 after one quarter, 19-12 at halftime, and 36-22 heading to the fourth period.
Andrew Reedy scored 15 points to pace the Longhorns followed by Dayton Zamora with eight, Skyden Stoddart, Zack Rumfield, and Rhett Williams with six apiece, Darryl Watkins with four, and Cooper Shults, Braiden Brown, Angel Marquez, and Ian Desai with two points apiece.

May Lady Tigers 78, Blanket Lady Tigers 5
MAY – The May Lady Tigers earned a 78-5 victory over the Blanket Lady Tigers Friday.
May (14-5) led 31-2 after one quarter, 47-2 at halftime, and 66-2 through three frames.
Jordyn Gerhardt poured in 28 points for May followed by Chloe Lord with 23, Aubree Gerhardt with 11, Cortney Harper with 10, Callie Harper with four and McKenna Landes with two points.
MaKenzie Willis scored all five points for Blanket.

Comanche 53, Early Lady Horns 31
EARLY – The Early Lady Horns suffered their first District 8-3A basketball loss Friday, falling to the Comanche Maidens, 53-31.
Early (13-5, 2-1) led 8-5 after one quarter, but fell behind 20-14 at halftime and faced a 37-17 deficit heading to the fourth period.
The Lady Horns received eight points from Gabby Benson, seven from Abby Ferguson, five from Cali Vargas, four apiece from Aliyah Harlen and Andie Simpson, and three points from Mia Gomez.

Water Valley 50, May Tigers 39
Jim Ned 69, May Tigers 44
TUSCOLA – The May Tigers dropped a pair of contests Friday, first falling to Water Valley and then host Jim Ned in tournament action.
In a 50-39 defeat at the hands of Water Valley, May trailed 19-14 after one frame, led 26-20 at halftime, and the game was tied at 35 through three quarters.
Scoring for May were Kobey Morris with 14 points, Brody Stice with 12, Mikey Scheiger with six, Kaiden Adams with four, and Tyran Perry with three points.
In a 69-44 loss to Jim Ned, the Tigers were down 18-10 after one period, 32-20 at the break, and 53-32 through three quarters.
Leading the way offensively for the Tigers were Morris with 10 points, Kaden Watkins with nine, Perry with seven, Jackson Lusk with six, Stice with five, and Scheriger and Maddix Raffel with two points apiece.
May (9-4) is back in action Jim Ned tournament action Saturday against Roscoe at 9 a.m. and Callisburg at 1:30 p.m.

Priddy 47, Zephyr Lady Bulldogs 27
ZEPHYR – The Zephyr Lady Bulldogs came up on the short end of a 47-27 decision against Priddy in District 25-A action Friday night.
Zephyr (9-8, 0-1) trailed 14-5 after one quarter, 25-14 at intermission, and 35-23 heading into the final stanza.
For the Lady Bulldogs, Avery Stevens poured in 11 points followed by Kenlyn King with seven, Calyn Kubin with five, and Riley Hood and Sydney Hobson with two points apiece.
