This morning on Friday, December 19, the Brookesmith Elementary School presented their annual Christmas Program to adoring family members and the community.  Sixty-two elementary students in grades PK through 5th grade participated in the program, titled “Letters to Santa.”  The script was written by music-theatre teacher Alyssa Graves.

The music centered around the story of a town that had lost its Christmas spirit.  With the help of Santa and many sweet letters written by children, the town comes together to celebrate the magic of Christmas.

The program was a collaborative effort, utilizing high school theatre and event planning students to build the set and make props.  Over eighty students and staff planned and performed the program.  Third-grade student Adie Smith sang the solo song “Where Are You Christmas?”.
