Shirley Faye Ellis, 84, of San Saba, Tx. passed away surrounded by family at San Saba Nursing and Rehabilitation on December 14, 2025. A visitation for Shirley will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 18, 2025 at Blaylock Funeral Home in San Saba, Tx. a funeral service will follow beginning at 2:00 p.m. and will be officiated by Gene Stewart. Interment will take place at Senterfitt Cemetery in Lometa, Tx. following the funeral service. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of San Saba.
Pallbearers: Will Dellis, Wade Dellis, Matthew Boswell, Josh Stewart, Aaron Stewart, Allen May, Michael Stewart, James Stewart, Dylan Stewart, Jake Stewart, Dustin Stewart, Derin Stewart, Reagan Maxcey, and Shawn Maxcey.
Shirley Ellis was born on July 30, 1941 in Lometa, Tx. to Paul F. and Ethel Faye Stewart. She grew up in Lometa and graduated from Lometa High School. She met Larry Eugene Ellis and they were married on September 1, 1962. Shirley attended the Assembly of God in San Saba for many years. She was a homemaker most of her life and enjoyed sewing as a hobby, she loved cooking for everyone, even if they weren’t hungry. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Shirley is survived by her daughter, Terah Byler and her husband Robert; her son, Russell Ellis and wife Terri; grandchildren, Danna Boswell and husband Matt, Klint Land and wife Angie, Russton Ellis and wife Ashlyn, Ayden Ogle, McKenzie Hibler, Hannah Hibler, and Jett Hibler; great-grandchildren, Edith Boswell, Anlee Boswell, Rhett Ellis, Ryilee Land, Layton Tatsch and Roston Tatsch; brothers, Bert Stewart and wife Kay, Gene Stewart and wife Sylvia, Gary Stewart and wife Jamie, Ronnie Stewart and wife Janet; sisters, Linda Dellis, and Debbie May and husband Carl, sister-in-law, Patsy Stewart; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Larry E. Ellis; her parents Paul and Ethel Stewart; brothers Kennith Stewart, and Robert “Butch” Stewart; a sister-in-law Donna Stewart and a brother-in-law, Clark Dellis.
