Glenda Larue Jenkins Hudson was born on January 18, 1944. She passed away peacefully on Friday December 5, 2025. A graveside service for Glenda will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, December 13, 2025, at Staley Cemetery in Early, Tx. and will be officiated by Bro. Harold Hogan. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home of Brownwood.

A sentiment from her daughter, Tracy.

“I was truly blessed to have her as my mama. She was gentle, feisty, and very wise. She lifted me when I was sad, and she was with me throughout my illness and all of my storms. She helped me through every struggle, big or small, and she always made me laugh. She understood my problems, my secrets, and my heart. I always felt safe with her.

That’s the kind of woman she was.

She wasn’t just my momma; she was my best friend and my rock. I love you momma bigger than the sky!”

Glenda loved animals deeply. She worked as a dog groomer most of her life and took great pride in her work. She was a true nurturer, guided by her own rules, her own strength, and her huge heart. She was a trail blazer.

Glenda adored her family. She leaves behind her daughter Tracy Gizette Covington, her son, Tony Scott Earp and the great love of her life of 50+ years, Jan Brown. She is also survived by her grandchildren Ashley, Chelsy, Shelby, Toni, and Peyton; her great grandchildren Jordan, Alize, Armani, Kianni, Evan, Ryder, Charli, Elena and George; her good friend Ray Chapman, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Glenda was preceded in death by her mother, father, Arthur and Tylene Hudson, her brothers Jerry, Rudy, and Rodney Hudson. And of course, her best boy, a dog named Cowboy.
