
TUSCOLA – The Brownwood Lions were denied a fourth consecutive victory as the Class 3A No. 22 Jim Ned Indians held on for a 47-43 home win Tuesday night.
The Lions (3-3) trailed Jim Ned (2-2) by a 17-13 count after one quarter, 23-18 at halftime, and 33-31 heading to the fourth period.
Brownwood received 21 points from Cannon Calvert, seven from Bennett Windham, six from Elias Perez, four from Carson Noe, two points each from Hayden Brumbelow, Judson Coalson and Durham Brown.
The Lions will compete in the Dublin tournament Thursday through Saturday.
