
Since the skies first opened this past Thursday, and parts of Brown County saw in the neighborhood of 5 inches of rain, the water level at Lake Brownwood has slowly been on the rise.
As of 7:30 a.m. Monday, the lake level was at 1,422.28 feet – 2.82 feet below the spillway, an increase of 0.41 feet since last Thursday, and at 86 percent of capacity.
The current water level is exactly 3 feet lower than this time a year ago, when Lake Brownwood was completely full, but a 6.13 foot increase from 2023.
