In the latest Texas Association of Basketball Coaches state rankings, the Brownwood Lady Lions appear at No. 18 in Class 4A.

The Lady Lions (6-1) are coming off a 44-32 championship victory over Comanche at the Hamilton Hoopfest Saturday and next face the Early Lady Horns (6-2) at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday in Early.

Brownwood – which has pieced together a pair of three-game win streaks thus far this season – is averaging 54 points per outing, while allowing only 28 points per contest.

The Lady Lions have eclipsed the 60-point mark four times and have given up more than 36 points just once.
