Joyce Faye Jones, 86, a longtime resident of Brownwood, passed away on November 21, 2025. She was born on September 20, 1939, to Homer Oliver Egger and Stella Elizabeth Goins.

Joyce was a lifelong member of Mercury Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She retired from Care Nursing and Rehab after 30 years of dedicated service. Joyce loved playing Bingo, tending to her garden, and she cherished every moment spent with her family.

Joyce was an avid supporter of Rochelle ISD. She was heavily involved in the PTA, served as a room mother, worked at the concession stand, and helped with anything else that was needed. She attended every sporting event her children participated in, she and Curtis were always there, cheering them on with pride.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Jones; son, Brian Jones; brothers Raymond Lee, David Rudolph, Billy Joe, and J.C.; sister June Smith; and nephew David “Randy” Egger.

Joyce is survived by her son, Buck Jones and spouse Carrie Austin of Rochelle; daughter, Brenda Miller of Brownwood; and five grandchildren: Kelli Jones-Rye, Taylor Jones, Zachary Jones, Alvin Miller III, and Valerie Diaz. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren—Jay, Viviana, Noah, Nick, and Nate, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 22, 2025, from 5:00–7:00 pm at Blaylock Funeral Home in Brownwood, Texas. Graveside services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Corrine T. Smith Animal Clinic Spay-Neuter Program.

Blaylock Funeral Home, Brownwood is charge of arrangements.
