Janie C. “Olivia” Barnhart, 56, passed away surrounded by her family. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, November 24, at Heartland Funeral Home. A funeral service for Olivia will be held at 10:00AM on Tuesday, November 25, in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Rocky Creek Cemetery.

Olivia was born on May 27, 1969, in Snyder, Texas, to Severo Torres and Elva L. Chavarria. In 2003, Olivia married the love of her life, Rodolfo Villa Ramirez, in Dodge City, Kansas, beginning a partnership filled with laughter, strength, and devotion.

A hardworking and spirited woman, Olivia built her own path as a self-employed caregiver and homemaker. She found joy in the simple things—cleaning and organizing, dancing to her favorite music, watching TV, browsing thrift stores for hidden treasures, and gathering loved ones for cookouts. Her warm presence and easy smile made every space she entered feel like home.

Olivia’s greatest pride was her family. When she married Rodolfo, they became a blended family with 8 eight children: Ashley Martinez Garcia, Adrian Barnhart, MaryJane Barnhart, Francis Dibert, Elva Schulte, Alex Dibert, Andrew Mashburn, and Brianna Mashburn.

She is survived by her brothers, David Torres, Severo Gilbert Torres, Juan Billy Torres, Santiago Jimmy Torres, and Steve Chavarria; her sisters Monica Medcalf and Theresa Torres; 14 grandchildren, and many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Olivia is preceded in death by her beloved son, Adrian Barnhart; her mother, Elva L. Chavarria; her father, Severo Torres; and her brothers Jesse Daniel Torres and Arlan Torres.
