
BANGS – The Early Lady Horns pushed their win streak to five games before falling in their Bangs tournament finale Saturday morning.
On Friday, the Lady Horns outlasted Clyde, 57-52 in overtime, and then dropped a 46-32 decision to Cisco.
Against Clyde, Early led 11-8 after one quarter, fell behind 24-21 at halftime, and regained a 38-37 lead heading into the fourth period, and the game was tied at 47 at the end of regulation.
Avery Williams scored 14 points for the Lady Horns followed by 13 from Aliyah Horton, eight from Andie Simpson, six from Kayleigh Torrez, three from Gabby Benson, two from Cali Vargas, and one point from Abby Ferguson.
Against Cisco, Early trailed 14-10 after one quarter, 22-17 at halftime and 32-27 heading into the fourth period.
Williams again paced the Lady Horns with 17 points followed by eight from Simpson, six from Benson and one point from Harlan.
The Lady Horns (6-2) next host Brownwood at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday.
