Charles Clinton Clevinger

Charles Clinton Clevinger, 91, of Brownwood, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, November 18, 2025. No services are planned, and cremation has taken place under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home in Early.

Chuck was born on October 22, 1934, in Pikeville, Kentucky to Carl and Ruth Clevinger. He spent 44 years working for the Santa Fe Railroad, where he built a lifelong reputation as a dedicated, hardworking man.

Chuck had a real passion for life. He loved playing golf—especially spending time with his golf buddies—and he enjoyed lifting weights, staying active well into his later years.

He is survived by his brother, John and wife Patti Clevinger; sons Tom Clevinger and wife Max, Ernie Clevinger, Matthew Clevinger and wife Susanne, and Mark Clevinger, Robert Swenson; and his daughter Becky Mathews and husband Ed, Cathy Malago and husband Scott and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Clevinger; his son, Trace Clevinger; his parents; and his brothers, Roy and Holly Clevinger.

Chuck will be remembered with love by his family and all who knew him.
